The City of Lyons would like to extend its gratitude to Allen "Steiny" Steinmeyer for his 24 years of service as a City Council member. His dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact on our community, and we are truly thankful for all his hard work.
As we turn the page, we welcome Brantley Vavra, who was elected to the City Council during the general elections on November 5, 2024. Brantley stepped into Steiny's seat during the Council Meeting on December 10, 2024, and we look forward to the fresh perspectives he will bring.
Additionally, we congratulate Matt Carr, who was elected in the same elections. Matt has been with us since April 4, 2023, when he was appointed to fill a vacant term, and we are excited to see his continued contributions to our city.
