FROSTY THE NO-SNOW SNOWMAN Challenge!
The Lyons Public Library is encouraging school groups, youth groups, daycare groups, and individuals of all ages to get in on the FROSTY THE NO-SNOW SNOWMAN Challenge! It is a No-snow-required snowman contest. You could win a fun prize for yourself, your daycare, family, or classroom and bragging rights as the winner of the Snowless Frosty the Snowman contest! We challenge you to construct a snowman out of any materials you choose that you have from home and that is all ages acceptable. Please do not use real snow. All snowman entries must be submitted January 12th- Saturday, January 17th. Community voting will be held January 19th-January 31st! Please see our Facebook Page for more details.
Featured Artist: Bev Armstrong “Comfort & Joy Rescue Quilts & Such” Stop by the library anytime during business hours and come check out Bev Armstrongs beautiful quilt display!
Saturday Silent Book Club
Every Saturday in January 10am-12pm. BYOB (Bring your own book) or borrow one of ours! The concept is simple and brilliant: bring a book of your choice and enjoy an hour or two of quiet, dedicated reading in the company of others. Socializing is optional, and a great way to make new friends who share your passion!
Holiday closings:
The Lyons Public Library will be closed on Thursday, January 1st in observance of New Years.
